Focus Period: Week 5
Your trainees have had a fantastic week of ITaP in their suject teams. You start the week on Tuesday and Wednesday with emedding this practyice. Nathan has provided you with the facilitators guide to support this.
Please ensure when the trainee joins you in school on Tuesday that they have a clear timetable for the week making it clear which lessons will make up their 40% - and any other oservations they will be doing. They need clarity of expectations to be successful.
I have been requested to share the current and upcoming week's over view to help you to e aware of what the trainees are working towards - so you have week 5 and 6 calendar given below.

2. 🎯 Core Content Focus (Week 5)CCF Learn How To Focus TS2:
a) Using modelling, explanations and scaffolds, acknowledging that novices need more structure early in a domain.
e) Breaking tasks down into constituent components when first setting up independent practice (e.g. using tasks that scaffold pupils through meta-cognitive and procedural processes).
Make good use of expositions, by:
f) Starting expositions at the point of current pupil understanding.
3. 🔍 Focused Observation Theme (Week 5)
Planning - how concepts are modelled, explained and scaffolded; how tasks are broken down into constituent parts (2a,2e). Observe how the teacher takes into account what pupils already know (2f)

Weekly Focus: Develop your understanding of How Teachers Teach by working on Adaptive Teaching (CCF 5).
