If you wish to apply, please visit https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-teacher-training and search via 'The Grand Union Training Partnership' (G60) or our Lead School Sponne School (1PJ).
Alternatively, you could complete our “Register Your Interest” Form and return it to us at . This form will enable us to establish if you meet our entry criteria and may lead to an interview.
All applicants are required to have a GCSE grade C or Level 4 or above in Maths and English (Assessment Only applicants must also have a GCSE grade C or Level 4 or above in a Science.) In some circumstances there is the opportunity for applicants to sit an equivalency test. It is also a requirement to have a degree in a relevant subject at 2:2 or above.
The course tuition fees have been set at £9,535 and you may apply for a Student Tuition Fee Loan which will cover the cost of your tuition fees plus you can also apply for a Student Maintenance Loan. You may be entitled to a bursary depending upon the subject you are training to teach and your degree classification.
Fundamental literacy and numeracy checks will also be part of our recruitment process.

Trainee Teacher Specification
Qualifications
- GCSE grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and maths.
- A UK honours degree (2:2 or above) or equivalent.
Health & Physical Capacity
- Fit to teach without risk to pupils’ health, safety, or well-being.
- Able to:
- Communicate clearly with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
- Show sound judgement and vigilance.
- Supervise and support pupils safely.
- Manage classes effectively.

- Report accurately on pupil progress.
Suitability
- Must pass pre-selection checks, including:
- Enhanced DBS check and children’s barred list.
