We have made it to the final week! (Almost feels like Masterchef final week!). Well done, everyone. Thank you one and all for the Impact Presentations. This is such a highlight of the year. It is a pleasure to hear all about your proud moments and achievements. Don't forget that many of your examples would make great things to talk about at an interview also. Richard Cahill shared a useful tip with us that he keeps a box where he puts anything that might be useful for an interview in the future as he goes along. I thought that was a great idea.
Next week:
There is no training next week! The GUTP exam board will meet on Monday evening. You can expect an email from the office on Tuesday to confirm that all has gone well.
Martin Lee, external moderator is at Guilsborough on Monday observing lessons and meeting with trainees and mentors. If you are being observed, please make sure you give Martin a lesson plan and your context sheet. He does not need an observation form. Good luck to all involved and thank you.
Alison Permberton, external examiner from the University of Leicester is meeting with trainees and M level markers on-line to talk about the PGCE aspect of the course. Thank you to all of you involved.
On Thursday 25th June we have our final celebration gathering starting at 11am here at GUTP House. Lunch will be provided.
There has been a lot of QA going on these past few weeks and I would like to thank you for your time in giving us feedback. It is really helpful to us continually improving the course and to have validation from external experts that standards are high. Thank you.
Don't forget that you will lose access to Google Drive once you graduate. Next week would be a good time to make sure you have saved anything you want to keep.
