The Pulse: Professional Behaviours (CCF Focus)

As we move deeper into the "Mastery" phase, the focus shifts from surviving the classroom to thriving within the profession. This week, we explore CCF TS8, centering on how high-performing teachers manage their most precious resource: time.

• The Why: Longevity in teaching isn't just about passion; it’s about systems. By collaborating on resources and reflecting honestly on progress, trainees transition from "functional" to "professional."

• The Weekly Target: Develop a robust understanding of professional conduct by evaluating current progress and identifying specific "next steps" for the final stretch of the course.

• Mentor Action (Deliberate Practice): This week, pull back the curtain on your own workflow. Explain the specific systems you use to plan efficiently and compare them with the trainee's current methods. Crucially, lead the conversation on rest and recovery—share what a reasonable "switch-off" schedule looks like in practice.
