Dear All,
We are very fast approaching the end of the course. Where did the year go? I hope that you are all feeling proud and pleased that things are easing.
Next week:
On Monday 15th June you have training at the house. We begin with discussing the Early Career Framework and will be joined by an ECT 2, who will talk to us about her life post graduating with tips and advice. James Rawbone (Tove School Improvement Director for Humanities), will present on career paths in teaching and Nathan will talk about what you might expect from a school Ofsted inspection. Some of you will be able to offer your insights on this, I know, having experienced an inspection this year. We will also be asking you to complete our end-of-course questionnaire, so please bring your device with you. We know there are quite a lot of review documents at this time of year; we appreciate your time completing this. They help us enormously in developing the course and improving the trainee experience.
Ofsted - we are still in the window of Ofsted potentially calling. Please be aware that if we do get the call, all trainees will be needed to teach in their schools. Unfortunately, any plans to visit employing schools would be cancelled as Ofsted takes priority. They will choose which trainees they would like to see teach / meet with.
Things to be working on:
Finalising Curriculum Tasks including the SEND and primary visit questions.
Impact presentations.
Future Contact forms to Assie.
Transition documents. Please pass this to your mentor by 15th June. These are still worth completing regardless of whether you have a post secured for September at this point.
House-keeping with your Google Drive. Make sure everything is clearly organised in case moderators or visitors ask to look through things.
